A Peek Into Chiefs Life

As some of you know, I am the President and 2nd Assistant Fire Chief of a volunteer fire company. This is my passion in life, and the job I love so much that I do it for free. Believe me, if there was a place I could get paid to do this without uprooting my family, I would be doing it for money.

Now you may be thinking, well if he does firefighting for free, how does he pay the bills? Well to pay the bills my brother and I have a small Plumbing & Heating Service business. I started this when I was just 18. I first started out with just me doing plumbing and heating work for a local contractor after hours of my regular job, ended up quiting my daytime job and doing this full time. Within a few months convinced my brother to join me, and within a few months after that we bought a Hardware Store in a small town.

We kept the store open for about 3 years before closing, and have been doing the plumbing and heating ever since.

I am currently training as an ambulance driver, and if I can handle that, will be taking the training for Emergency Medical Technician. Again another volunteer position, but I just like helping people.

I have 1 wife, 0 girlfriends, 3 children ages 17, 13, and 4.
