I see your point and agree on that..seeing as one allready left pretty much due to the changes of his ranking..

But i think that the mods should have some kind of rank as well so that we are aware of who we could turn to in case of clanchat problems. Not that we should ever get any, but just the same..

i think ranks r ok for cc that way we all will know how long everyone has been with the group but only the mods can boot

uhm what is the point of knowing how long everyone has been in the community? we're all one big family in the cc and to me it doesn't matter how long the others have been in the group..

Well to a point I need to use rank, at least with the people I am asking to be moderators in the chat. I do like the idea of using smileys for new people and stripes for accepted members. Beyond that, well, I do want to recognize those who are going above and beyond for the group. That is why I am using 3 stripes for the event coordinator, official greeter. (am sure that will expand beyond those 2)

If we lose all rank, who do we goto when there is a problem. I cannot handle every little thing. This past week I spent way more time standing in a bank than playing the game. My PM's would go crazy from the moment I logged in. (hopefully the worst of that is over)

Is certainly a topic that I would rather give thought to later, and just hold it as we have it at the moment. I am just glad that we are picking up the pieces and moving forward again.

If I rambled a bit here, sorry, just have so many things to consider at the moment and trying to decide what is best for the group as a whole.

Ok, for what it is worth, here are my two cents worth....

I can see both sides. Mostly all of us are equals in the
clan. We dont' really rule over each other and for the most part,
we try to work together.

But there are times when something happens that we have to have someone
in charge to make decisions. The guys who started the forum can't
be online all the time, hence the need for rankings of who is able to
moderate and make decisions and call the shots while they are gone.

The other thing is that it is difficult for Chief to handle all the
requests and choices that are put to him from the minute he logs
online. If all he is dealing with are questions and being
bombarded with requests from the minute he gets online, then he will
quickly decide it isn't worth it and just bow out.

So, we need some sort of rankings to delegate decision making for certain areas.

The sad fact is that not everyone will get along 100 percent of the
time. Someone has to arbitrate and be the final authority.
I would just as soon we have a group of people to do this rather than just one
man. Hence the reason I think we need rankings so that we can
make it more democratic.

Sorry to hear you have a hard time to play the game and get your lvls due to a flow of pm's when you're online. I didn't know you got that many, Chief. And of course i see the point of delegating tasks and responsiblity to others of your trusted friends/members. You shouldn't have to stand alone making decissions for or against issues. I'm sorry if i sounded too ignorant on my previous post. it was only meant in general about the time of membership in the clan.
I hope you in the admin group can get to a solution so that Chief can enjoy the rs game as much as we all do. and let's not take for granted that Chief (or miky/bigger) will be there for us at all time to take care of our problems and questions
